Wow, where does the time go??? So much has happened since I last wrote, I don't know where to begin...
I guess I'll start with the latest great thing for Jeff and I and that is our 5th grandbaby was born on February 25th!! Hanna Lee joined her brother and sister and is just the cutest little thing!
We are now waiting for grandbaby #6, a boy for Anakate and Vance who should come around April 17th. Such fun, we just love these little ones!
The 3day walk was in November and the team and I had the best time! Analee, Debbie, Davene and I are Team MammoGrammy!! We walked our little feet off, but did it while having the best time. The weather was perfect, except for a little rain on Saturday midday, where we grooved along with our little rain ponchos on. When we got back to camp that afternoon, we discovered that we had been chosen as one of the winners for tent decorations! There are always activities to keep us up and motivated, something you really need after walking 20 miles!
We have all signed up to do it again this year, Team MammoGrammy Rules!!! If you have never done an event like this, you should before you die. It is the most awesome, life changing event that I have ever done (not that I have done so many life changing events or anything), but you really get to see what it is all about when the survivors come into opening and closing ceremonies, you hold up a shoe to show love and respect for them and you try not to cry your eyes out listening to all the stories you hear along the way. On Saturday , we were walking out of the park where we had lunch, and came across an older couple handing out business type cards. It had a picture of their only two daughters, who had both died from breast cancer. Now that was a whole box of Kleenex moment right there! I hope I never have to go through anything like that, but if I do, I know I have done my part, by walking, to try and end this disease. If you don't feel like you could walk, you can always donate to your favorite walker, that is the hardest thing for us, raising money year after year. So remember, no donation is too small - together we can make miracles happen!
Well, I guess I'll stop ranting for now. Have a great day and I will try my best to keep this thing up to date!
